Who We Are: Sequoia is 100% native owned and operated. We are located in the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawake. We at Sequoia believe in building a strong economic base in our community. Sequoia is proud of it’s native roots and hopes to one day expand to other communities and territories.
About Our Name: When deciding on a name for our company, we wanted a name which not only represented something in nature, but also something that represented strength. Our final choice was Sequoia, which comes from the giant sequoia trees and live 2,000 to 3,000 years, some even longer.
About Our Logo: Our logo is meant to represent many things, especially the energy and spirit of natural handmade products. Therefore, when looking at the logo, the S represents blades of grass, water flowing, curves of a body, hair, smoke from a candle, the curve of a foot... the possiblities are endless.
About Our Products: All of our products are handmade. We at Sequoia take pride in our work to ensure all of our products are made to our exacting standards. Months of testing and customer feedback ensures quality. All of our products are made in small batches. This guarantees not only quality, but freshness and consistency. This approach sets us apart from others in the industry.
Mission: Our mission is to provide our customers with products that not only smell and feel good, but that come from renewable ingredients. We do not use petroleum or petroleum by-products in any of our formulas. Sequoia products are inspired by native legends and herbs. Most of our ingredients that we use are actually edible, therefore providing the philosophy that what is good for the inside is also good for the outside. Mother nature provided us with the materials that we need. We also hope that not only will you be impressed with our products, but that your friends and family will be too.
